Protective inhibitor Q100 Basic Duo AV EQUEN

Q100 Basic Duo – Measurable corrosion inhibitor for heating and cooling systems

Q100 Basic DUO film-forming inhibitor is designed to protect the system from corrosion and scale formation. It is suitable for all types of closed heating and cooling systems.

Features:

  • dosage 1 liter per 200 liters of system volume (i.e. 16 – 20 radiators);
  • suitable for all types of metals including aluminum;
  • designed for both domestic and industrial applications;
  • expected time for completion 2 – 3 years, depending on the results of the inspection;
  • concentration can be checked using the AVS100 test kit;
  • also usable for glycol antifreezes;
  • it is left in the system, not released.

Chemical and physical properties:

  • Appearance - yellow-amber liquid
  • Odor - characteristic
  • pH -8
  • Density at 20 °C -1.13 g/cm3
  • Solubility - fully miscible in water

Dosage and application:

We recommend applying the product to a cleaned system – a new system free of assembly and passivation products, an old system free of corrosion, calcium deposits (scale), bacteria and sludge. In the case of applying the inhibitor Q100 Basic Duo to a contaminated system, the inhibitor may partially act as a solvent for deposits and impurities, which can cause the operating water to become cloudy or discolored and may contain dissolved (removed) impurities. Before putting the system into operation, fill the system with water according to the boiler manufacturer's requirements (water treatment using the AVDK 1000 Comfort demineralization unit) and add the Q100 Basic Duo in an amount of 0.5% of the system volume, i.e. 1 liter per 200 l. Measure the concentration of the product at least once a year using the AVS100 set. Leave the inhibitor in the system, do not drain it.

Packaging:

  • 1 l canister
  • 5 l canister

Storage:

Store in tightly closed, original containers in a cool (+10°C to +35°C), dry and well-ventilated place for the intended purpose. When stored correctly, the product is stable for 24 months.

Safety precautions:

The mixture is not classified as hazardous according to Regulation (EC) No 1272/2008.
